I respect the fact that you went with a "general rock" tag when you could have snuck this into the much sexier "heavy metal" sub choice. Yo, go back and toss this into grunge. The longer I'm listening to this I can hear lots of cool concepts that vibe across genres. Loved those little synth melodies and pads/samples, I did not miss those adorable intangibles. Sexy deep vox at 2:19 gave me some good chills. Loved this dude2312.... can I just call you Mr. Dude from now on?

Only critical feedback might revolve around mix quality or guitar distortion. I don't even know where to start to get that David Maxim Micic/Chimp Spanner quality of heavy metal, sorry I can't pin point my crit to a specific instrument or tone. I make dumb edm, I kind of envy artists that can produce stuff like this. Love that 90's grunge sound <3

Quarl, thanks a lot on your insight for this track! I could definitely use a couple tips on mixing. I think I am barely beginning to get it where I want. Been taking classes and tutorials here and there so, with all honesty, anything helps!

Lol, I sense a little identity crisis in that one sentence artist statement. It's all good love, write what makes you happy. Don't get too caught up trying to please the rest of us. Experiment with vibes and ideas that are interesting to you. These tones, textures, melodies, and ideas would all sound great at 172 BPM. Take what you learned here to the next track. Hell, I'd use this song as the intro. Put an automation lane on the BPM, speed up towards the end of this and hit us with some smooth jazzy liquid or idm. It's just an idea, shrugs. Nice name by the way, MoustacheExpress :D

I came to hear the samples but stayed for the 6/4. Very pretty rhythm, fidelity sounds great *checks notes* on my poverty Walmart tablet. I'm gonna have to fly out and visit my dad in New York for the bandwidth necessary to download things again. I regret deleting my overplayed steam games now :c

You know, I actually made it 6/4 to not have to change the tempo and screw up the delays I set up hahaha. Instead it just made the timing wiiiiiild. I don't know if I could make a whole track like that, but it definitely is something to keep in mind if I ever get boxed in. You learn something new every day

Chill, relaxing, genre fitting chord progressions... might have wanted a little bit more from the drum modulation and programing. Other than a slightly repetitive drum loop (which again is genre fitting) the track bops splendidly! The chord progression reminds me of the kind of stuff Fox Stevenson was writing when he was a baby on newgrounds :3

Loved the atmosphere up in this. I think that snare drum was a little sheepish. A nice slappy snare layer could add some crucial textures :3

More snare drum layers can also let you change up your drums from time to time to create diverse, alive, dynamic rhythms. You could have a crunchy 808 take over the snare rhythm then switch it to a clap snare every so often... I love that change up Joe-Mega brought up mostly because that snare drum switch up. Give me more snare textures <3

I've gotten really into glittering atmospheric chimes. I wouldn't want to recommend finding some good chime samples only because you'll risk sounding like me. STAY AWAY FROM MY CHIMES D:<

Just kidding, you can haz chimes. I'd also add another hi hat layer. You can fake some seriously delicious drum dynamics by just having a second super staccato hi hat layer with a slightly different tone, pitch, or texture. Sounds like there might be another hi hat layer when the drums change up @ 1:36... I think my brain keeps going back to the idea that the drums sound a little too thin...

Track has some trip hop trap vibes, dubstep, little dnb towards the middle... don't worry too much about genre. Just keep doing this kind of stuff forever, I love :3

I wonder how long it will take cyberdevil to come through with some rhymes on top of this, he's been busy lately. I'll have to favorite this and give it some more listens, cell phone fidelity is not justice. That is one mid heavy trap bass if I can hear it on my cell phone. It's always a goal of mine to make bass apparent on low quality speakers like phones and laptops so I'm happy that's where my attention immediately went. Can't wait to hear it rip on something with sub range, that climax sounds hella pro :3

Gave this a listen on my JBL charge3 while shooting arrows yesterday, perfect nuero. This makes me want to write some too, the genre never gets old to me. Seriously clean tune Qshunt. Has that ol' spor Cyberpunk Lifted Music vibe.

I love seeing fun titles because half the time I can expect experimental dnb. Loved the atmosphere. Classic jungle sounds and amen beats...holy shit I love that modulation at 2:14. As of late I've had to listen to most stuff on my phone, sorry I can't give you any positive feedback on the mix but keep doing your thing Spurme. I love hearing junglists evolve, grow, experiment, and make art. This reminds me of some of the more spastic work from artists like square pusher and flashbulb. This is hella cool. Pro atmosphere <3
