The gradient and colours are fantastic. Cash as usual dear <3

Bleak-Creep responds:

Thanks! Had a lot of fun getting to draw her. :)

I SEE A TRIFORCE ON THE WALL. IM TELLING NINTENDUR CORPORATE, NEVER STEAL ZELDA. EXPECT A LAWSUIT. HOW DARE YOU STEAL IDEAS!

*has a small seizure after noticing the pillows.

Bleak-Creep responds:

Haha, you spotted it!

The couch and pillows are a nearly exact replica of my own couch and pillows, caus I love my beautiful green couch.

The colors are great, looks like a 90s era kids cartoon. Would vibe with Hey Arnold or Thornberries. That background feels like a massive inside joke as the letters from our screen names merge into childlike gibberish and curved DNA sequences straighten up like "wtf is going on?" This is wonderfully bizarre, I've always wanted to be three fursonas packed into a singular organism! Rock and roll :3

controllerjar responds:

Thank you very much! it’s lovely isn’t it, now you’ll never be alone!
And I know that was supposed to be personas technically, but just you wait.
Ive got somethin cookin real good!

This is absolutely beautiful. The colors are very inventive. The buildings are giving off a Tetris color scheme. There are certain things I would nit-pick like perspective or figure but I think it's actually perfect for the competition. The style speaks to the accessibility of the competition and comes off like a grand invitation. Drawing more figures would have complicated the drawing, perhaps unnecessarily. It's like she's saying "come one, come all!" She's waiting for the contestants to show up and rock out :3

Phaox05 responds:

Yeah you identified my main issues when drawing, I kinda hate drawing people because I never manage to make their body with good shapes (for example the legs being just one part even if in my sketch I designed them being two to emphasize the knees).

Talking about perspective I wanted to show distance between buildings and that's how far I managed to do without making it look strange or low quality as the drawing started to get really fuzzy with things at the back of the girl. (I'm planning to change the program I use soon as I suffer from the quality levels it gives me)

I like your point of view of the message, makes an extra context to the drawing itself, thanks for giving feedback I will work hard to improve my drawings!!!

I never followed Edds World but I remember when he passed away in 2012. I'm sorry, his style and cartoons obviously had an impact on you. Love Weezer by the by, very talented group of "nerds." My brother and I used to jam on riffs from the debut album.

Since you're blending styles and exploring ideas I'm not gonna get all critical with anything. 45 minutes is "playtime" and I can respect a quickie :3

red-cvnt responds:

thank you

YES, best gift ever. Thank you Garden <3

Bleak-Creep responds:

You're welcome! Happy birthday!

These colors are amazing, the style is gorgeous. I don't see anything worth critiquing or nit-picking. I love those kaleidoscopic lens flares noticable on top of the plant material. This image pops out of my screen <3

sylvrn responds:

awww thank you!

Ladybugs, an awkward spirit animal that have followed me though a career in landscaping. I respect your taste in aphid control but also your nightmares. Dreams have a way with taking mundane things and turning them into chaos. My fiance recently dreamed that someone was trying to steal t1-11 panels off the side of our house, we did our own renovations last summer. We live an hour outside of society, off grid and powered by solar. We have no neighbors. Who in their right mind would drive an hour in the dark through the San Juan forest and risk getting their car stuck in the snow for some cheap siding panels? Nightmare robbers, that's who. Sleep terrorists.

Love the old-timey photo filter going on with your illustration. The lady bugs pop in comparison to the portrait. I'm not sure if the visual elements come together in a manner I find compelling but the subject matter is a blast. I would have slapped another lady bug somewhere close to the bottom to spread out that hot red a little bit, move the eyes around more? Sorry to nit-pick the number of beetles, you obviously have skill and an inventive conceptual approach. I just have an OCD for writing long winded, rambling crits. Forgive me sylvrn D:

Edit: a small fix might focus on that black negative space the ladies are crawling out of? A textured backboard, parchment or knit might look right? That negative space fights with the black on the bugs for supremacy. A little color in there might look good :)

sylvrn responds:

thank you! those are all good points—all things I tried to fix while I working on the piece, but couldn't get quite right. I think it was a matter of poor planning or inexperience, but I want to tackle this drawing again someday to work out the kinks.

I showed you one bloody-skeleton-princess-ballerina drawing and this is what happens? It can't be a coincidence that I was recently talking to someone about amputee drawings, I feel like I owe you commission money now >:D

Bleak-Creep responds:

Haha! I recently realized that all of my characters are really down to earth, so I figured I should make some kind of wild fantasy design for once and she needed to be SCARY. (And I love body horror, so it needed to have that too.) She can slowly grow her body parts back after losing them, but most of the time she’s some kind of amputee.

But how does she feel about Mondays?

IkaroKruz responds:

Probably she doesn't care, she hates Mondays for the roleplay

Stay in school, don't do drugs. I hate it when kids get involved with drugs, I just want them to stay in school so I know where everything is. Kids go to school, my drugs stay at home, nothing goes missing. Everything is in balance.
