Taffy taffy taffy.

haha, I can totaly see someone DDR dancing to this. It was a really simple track, in melody and rhythem, but it held together in the long run. I really liked the synths at the begining of the track. The snare and bass drum variation was nice. Kept things original. Overall, I think it's a little too repetitive, but it's still good.

beatmasterJAG responds:

Hahaha, ask Nukem to web cam himself next time he does it! I've seen him film himself trying to be a master of the DDR before :P ROFL

Thanks for the review!

Taffy song sir taffy of taffville.

I didn't know what to think when I heard the intro all low because I've never actually heared one of your tracks before, but I was really pleased with this. It had some really possitive energy to it. When I heard that synth charge up, I was like "adfgn fam s." My only complaint was how short this track was. It could have been wayyy longer :)

I ENVY this track. WOAH, I'm so punny. haha... :(

Envy responds:

The intro was an idea I had right from the beginning to have it slightly quiet, and I think it worked out pretty well! And yeah it definately could have been longer, but perhaps that's for another day and another remix...

I Quarl you for your remix... Does that mean anything?

Really good....really.

Hot damn, I love this. It sounds so much better on my home computer. I love the tech feel of that one note played on the threes and fours. The polyrhythems are hot like waffles. Arr. I'd recomend coming up with more original song names. House2 just doesn't cut it :D

This has such a gritty sound to it. I love it. I really like the melody that plays at 1:30, and the harmonization sounds really slick. I can't believe this has such a low score. Some people
:( Your ideas kick ass. Curious, what program do you use?

p4c responds:

hehe ty dood ty, yeah i dont really know why all my scores are hovering at like low 3s, but w/evs. btw i use reason :D

I like taffy.

Alot of work is needed here, but for what it is, it's original and interesting. I think the song could be played at a faster tempo, and the drums could stand to be alot stronger and more varied, but it was a neat constant polyrhythem. The synth could be grittier. Curious, what program are you using?

Right now.... Just FL Studio 7 care to help?

Classical taffy.

First off, my speakers SUCK. Second off, from what I could make out, this was a really good classical piece. When I squinted my ears, I could hear allot of realy cool things going on. The melodies were never too complex, but they were earie. I really liked the chorus. You should have tried giving the chorus sections seperate rhythems and more dynamic parts/MORE parts. Also, most choral groups don't transission/ cut off that good and if they did, they'd have more parts in the piece. Really i'm just nit picking though. The percussion sounded key. The strings were pretty cute too. Good job here!

TheAmateurAnimator responds:

Thanks. You've got some good advice about the choir--I tried giving them more parts, but I failed and decided to keep it simpler. I guess I should have tried harder. Get new speakers, though. Or headphones. My speakers suck too, so I use my headphones for everything.

PS. How do you squint your ears?

Taffy!

I really don't get the point of 400 bpm. Can the brain even interpret sound that fast? I know that the fastest a human can take in visualy per second is 24 frames, it wouldn't suprise me if there is a similar cap on sound. And for the most part, I can't really hear the benefit of speed core. Though the speakers I have hooked up at the moment SUCK. For some reason my good ones stopped wortking.

Despite the 400 bpm thing, I actually liked what I could hear through my muzzled speakers. The hard rhythem was really neat. It was hard to predict, and the background instruments didn't over power the rhythem at all. The synth melody was really earie and cool. Really, you did a good job here. I can't say i've heared too much like it. I wish my speakers didn't suck so much. I gave you the benefit of the doubt for clarity. I also gave you a 10 for effort seeing as how you worked at...well...400 bpm.

TheComet responds:

actually the brain can piece together an animation at 24 fps MINIMUM, the actual "framerate" the brain can interpret is well into the thousands per second.

Arrr, nice pice song :)

Damn, this is pretty cool. I keep finding sick pico day songs, but I don't have the time to animate with school and what not. I swear, I'm gonna make up for it by animating like three cartoons next year...or one good one lol.

In any case, this was really sick. I hope some one picks it up and uses it...

SineRider responds:

thanks

Hmm, jazz drums? pishaw!

"Well it appears no one took the time out of their busy little schedules to review this song... so hear I am. Those sons of bitches."

Haha. We're all just a bunch of losers :P

This song has some cool melodies and stuff going on here, but as a drummer, I was really dissapointed with the drums. You need more SWING man. Throw some e's and a's into that stale hi hat rythem. Heck, make that hi hat a soft ride cymbal, trust me. Add a kick and a snare as well! Snare, snare snare! Kick kick kick. Really, the straight rythem had me practicly asleep. Though, like I said, the melodies were nice. (oh, for added sexyness, try putting in some drum fills on a third measure here or there, then drop the rythem completly for a measure of straight tonal instrumental for some jazz mix.) purrr, I gave you a four because really, I hated the drum rythem. Other than that, this was really good. Be proud of your work!

preffertobedead responds:

YES YES YES!...i made the drums on my own...but i just sticked to the rules...i used the Jazz Drums...i believe some ppl will think they are bothering...and they are right...but...well...is my 1st Jazz attempt..so...my failures will go fixing along with the time...=)

next time...i'l put some breaks with the drums...it wouldn't sound bad...^^

Thanks Quarl..=)

Taffy fritters.

Hmm...this had a chill intro, it was quite the sauce riot. Cheerio...the light drum beat came in and added to the sex factor exponentialy. When piece got up and off it's feet, i'd say that I was really quite mellowed out post haste. The rythem was all like "listen to me! I'm awsome." The melodies never really got too complex, but the shifting 4/4 off it all made for some neat chords. Really, tip top job mate. (high five)

SineRider responds:

Thanks mate :)

I like to keep it simple, just experimenting on the drumbeat with effects you know.

Thanks for the reivew and vote

I asked my cat about our current geo-political situations. She was speechless.
