Damn clean dnb Mr. Sharks. Where do you find the time to make dope beats when you're swimming around the ocean trying to find food and a mate? I guess sharks don't sleep but still, pretty dope considering you don't have hands to make music with. What's it like making music with fins??

Sharks responds:

i ask humans to make music for me or i eat them

Absolutely sexy down tempo jazz style. Love that piano and grainy atmosphere. Perfect snap sample. Was that Walugi laughing or? Anywho, this is dope. Slick writing DE <3

DreamEater responds:

Thank you again Quarl, I always look forward to your feedback! I legit thought about your comment on Ringo when I was designing this snare, so I'm stoked that it got your approval! Ahh I definitely see how you would get Waluigi from that, it's actually a warped Eustace sample from C.T.C.D. (THAT TOOK FOREVER TO FIND OMG XD). I never realized until this project, that 90% of that show has backing/ambient noise tracks for added spooki.

Hahaha, it's the same song I just listened to but better. I'm a sucker for those filth basses. The pitch bent snare drums tickeled me. Hell yeah MR.

MRM3 responds:

Hahaha, thank you!!!
I totally like this version better than the original... I feel ya when ya say "I'm a sucker for those basses" yeah, totally agree.
Glad someone noticed the snares ;3
They're so cute, but they still pack a punch :DD
I guess closer to a Drum 'N' Bass snare... still love it ;3
Hell yeah, thank you so much for the awesome review, Q!! 😍😍🤩

I'm gonna have to grab my headphones when I get home, this sounded tight on my phone. It sounds like you've mastered LMMS. The fuck are those bass sounds at 1:45?? Filthy hard. Kids these days have no idea what too filthy means.

I need my headphones <3

MRM3 responds:

Uhh the fuck did I do to deserve this AWESOME AF REVIEW!??!?!?
haha thank youuu!!!
You like were the one who helped me most of anyone else on the planet, with all of your super helpful tips an stuff. I do believe I have pretty well gotten to the point where I can translate music from my head onto a track... but I also believe it's alot your fault ;3
Thank you for the insane compliments an stuff XDD
I love those filthy lil basses alsoooo!!! (kinda why I used em in the song lmao)
And your headphones need you <3
XDDD
thank you again, Q!!!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩😁😋

hahahahahaha, classic nuero funk, had a Noisia vibe. So compressed though. Did you just slap a compressor on top of a compressor before slapping a compressor on the compressor? Like damn son. This track is a wall of frequency. Kudos.

BiPolarBeat responds:

I mean, a lot of the sounds are distorted and sidechained, also there's a distortion on the master bus on the sub so you can (kinda) hear it on phones and sub-par stuff. Also it's crushed to -6.5 LUFS so maybe that's that :///

NAC JUDGE REVIEW

I have never heard anything so perfect ion my entire life. You must have schooled at Berkeley College of Music because the mix is phenomenal. I’ve never heard such a perfect song. I cried when the lead kicked in. It was like hearing the most perfect duck in the world, and I cried. Did I mention that I cried? I’m still crying. I can’t stop crying. Please, call me an ambulance. I’m dehydrating at a rate I can’t compensate for. I’m drinking water but I can’t consume it fast enough. I’m going to cry myself to death, dear god why.

Your song scored 53 out of 786 dildos.

NAC JUDGE REVIEW

Woah, I liked the goth dark industry vibe your animals gave me. I was on the edge of my seat, which scared me. After readjusting my chair I took my headphones off because my boyfriend started talking to me. He said “oh, I didn’t realize we have apples.” Then he started to talk to our cat. Our cat really loves bagels. I let your song loop a few times but I didn’t hear it because I was still talking to my boyfriend about making hot dogs for dinner. We have steak but no one feels like cooking it :c

Since you went out of your way to make sure 100% of the sound from your track is animal noises, I went out of my way to give you extra points.

Your track scored 5 out of 17 shot guns.

NAC JUDGE REVIEW

You would have scored well with those amen break samples. I can probably guarantee that I’m the only judge with an amen break tattoo.

Those animal samples sound tossed on top though. The rhythms are so intricately programmed that you had it in you to plug those animals in with some more creativity. That bark could have been put on a sampler, patched through an arp, then pitch bent like a Squarepusher pad line ripping 32nd notes. Filtered with some heavy reverb a dog arp could probably fill up a lot of space as a pad too.

Since the samples feel so tossed on top it’s hard for me to judge this as highly as a few of the others. The jungle made me super happy though.

I thrust your song 4 out of 12 nachos

NAC JUDGE REVIEW

This track managed to keep my attention for awhile. The melodies swirled and evolved enough to keep me listening for one minute and thirty seconds without distraction. Then I had to start looping it because I was asked to judge this and the next fifty seven times I listened helped clarify that it’s not just a good song because of those evolving melodies. I can hear your effort trough my headphones. You really captured the pure talent of that sea lion. I can almost close my eyes and see a moist Lion, singing it’s heart out.

I give this song 9 out of 14 fresh fish

AceMantra responds:

The sea lion may have eaten some autotuna.

I'm here for a long time, not a good time.
