So much love Garden. Always a privilege to work on your cartoon magic. I'm sorry how much hurt this one must have been to make. I was wondering why you didn't have this up for TDOR but it makes sense now.

I learned about TDOR back in 2012, was in Oakland walking past a candle light vigil for Brandy Martel. She was gunned down two blocks from my apartment. I see her name every year, met her boss, would have received care from her if I had started my HRT sooner. People were up in arms this year about TDOR coinciding with Easter, like, I'm sorry we get murdered. If only we were fetus, Christians would be like "murder is bad."

I'm sorry I couldn't quite nail the optimism you wanted to portray in the church scene, with the baby. Maybe I'm not feeling so politically optimistic right now. Trump is selling Bibles for $60, our colorful flags are turning black and white, and somehow you and I are destroying the fabric of society by making cartoons and living our best lives.

Let's plan the next TDOR to coincide with Christmas! I'm certain it will go over perfectly.

You’re good! You had to put up with “the process” more than anyone else, but I let you in early because I trust your instincts. I don’t ever know exactly what I want outside of a mood and maybe a specific instrument, so it helps a lot to have someone around who kinda has the right headspace for it. :)

J/k, I'm giving the game it's test run right now and noticing that exiting the settings menu is... impossible? Is there a button I'm missing? If I go full screen looking for a button will I be stuck in this game forever? Am I supposed to listen to Lady (Hear Me Tonight) (Hear Me Tonight) by Modjo for the rest of my life? Is that part of the game? I'm gonna refresh my browser and avoid the settings for now.

So I almost immediately went to bed not realizing it would end the game. There should be a warning on the bed like "we worked really hard on this game, only use the bed if you must..." then I got stuck on the Results page and I was reliving my settings nightmare. I had to refresh my browser, I should avoid the bed for now.

The village is amazingly colorful and the art is so beauteous. I FOUND A BEACH BALL, I'M GONNA FIGHT THIS BEACH BALL FOR THE NEXT FIVE MINUTES. I'm actually very impressed, I've been trying to get it stuck in such a way that the audio glitches or I can't unstuck it but the broom is very efficient at unstucking the ball. Good stuff. The sit down illustration is the cutest thing ever, seeing her eyes dilate like that reminds me of what it felt like to look into the mirror after doing mushrooms in college. I CAN PET THE SHEEP?? This game is perfect. OH NO I CAN SWEEP THE SHEEP TOO D:

Game feels a little funny just running into barns and sweeping stuff, a "to-do list" on the wall of her house might give people a little more incentive to aim themselves towards objectives? A sprint button might be a decent addition but that might shorten an already short game, don't listen to me.

As a landscaper myself I found the ability to sweep away leaf piles HIGHLY UNREALISTIC but a nice additional bit of code, sweet deal <3

Loved the work y'all put into the fishing mini game. THE BEACH BALL FOUND IT'S WAY BACK TO THE BEACH, I'M GONNA FUCK IT UP FOR A FEW MINUTES, alright that was fun. As someone that grew up on an island, if you do a 2.0 version of this game you need to include a space in Maple's house to collect seashells and a jar to put beach glass in. Just an idea, tiny observation based on real life doings.

I remembered Garden showing off her crab animation so I looked around the beach for the crab and found a sheep. It doesn't make sense but I will pet the sheep. I feel so much better now. THE CRAB RAN AWAY, WHAT? I JUST WANTED TO PET IT D:<, I'll be back to see if the crab returns. Maybe I'm supposed to hit it with my broom...

Ok, I just found sheep lady morgan, time to pet the sheep again...

I hooked the cat up with fish, nice. I got the person their glasses. Felt bad taking the doll from the dog, perhaps 2.0 needs an Indiana Jones esque swap, trade the dog a doll for a doll?

Alright, I'm gonna quietly enjoy the rest of the game. Sorry to drop a bunch of suggestions on you after you've finished the game, especially since y'all invited me into the game Discord and I was inert the entire time. Would love to see what you guys could do with this material on a budget. Maple 2.0 needs microtransactions for additional outfits and OST purchases, wink-wink, nudge-nudge.

Edit IV: I caught a Garden while fishing. Sweet deal.
Edit V: I'm trying really hard to enjoy the tea. Do I need to sit on this bench for a set amount of time?
Edit VI: I left the room to make breakfast and in that time I finished the tea. That was a little weird but I'm glad I was able to enjoy the tea...

Haha, I can't believe how much you wrote, and how much some of that made me laugh. It seems like you're playing the game right by petting all the sheep though.

We're gonna update that options menu on the title screen later today! It's technically just an alternate version of the pause menu, so all you need to is hit "P" to close out of it right now, but it's not super clear. (There's a to do list on the pause screen too if you go to the items tab)

I really like the beach ball too though! It wasn't going to move originally, but once I played the game for the first time I asked Peti if we could make it happen, and they obliged. :)

And the crab is actually pretty rare. I've really only seen him hanging out on the beach on a couple different occasions. He's a happy little guy though.

At first I wasn't sure if there was a point to this game and I'm still not sure if there really was but I LOVED the style man. The music which you forgot to credit was really nice too. I didn't recognize the piece but it sounded like Debussy? Go edit your flash to include the composer in there man :p

Great tutorial...but what about cs3?

New flash is out, and I'm a little iffy about a few things in it...in anycase, this is a decent tutorial with some nice substance in it. I hear the kids like to learn about action scripting...ar. The layout was really nice here. Pretty colors. I would recomend this to a flash newb, but I don't think there is enough information in here to really teach him anything he could learn in any of the other tutorials out there. You did state that the tutorial didn't cover everything, when it reality, it barely covered anything. Just the key basics.

I'd say the most useful section of this tutorial was the tips section. New flash animators should really take note of al that, because it's extreamly true. Overall, it's obvious that you put alot of work into this, and the basic substance of your tutorial by no means reflects your abilities. You did a good job.

I actually put nearly no work into this. I just typed a lot and made a pretty layout. This was for my friend who just recently got flash, and I just wanted to do something special for him.

Im not impressed.

It's not torture if the person doesn't scream and stuff. Make them cry and beg. Also make the torture more interactive by including the previous methods as you go about the torture. Example: When you tear off a limb, make it so that the limb stays off. No reason in going out and finding a new victim. Youll get arrested that way. The whole point of torture is to prolong the death or get information from the victim. Im sorry but this game needs alot of work. Also, make a female victim. Why segregate? We need equality.
