Was kind of surprised I wasn't already following you, really curious how I missed old waterflame. You old now mofo. I have nothing to say about Pain Engine. I just wanted to tell you that you're old >:C

Also, fuck WilliamBlackwell. Either he's trolling or he's your alt. Do I flag that review as abusive or I just shoulder shrug and move on?

Waterflame responds:

HEY. you are just as old. _we_ are old.
And lol no worries. either stupid or trolling, but same action applies; do nothing and move on.

Niiiiiice, heavy trap sound. I was looking at that wave shape expecting something to come out of the blue but I was still surprised when that sub bass kicked in. I loved the instrumentation in this. Doesn't get boring, you could have dragged it out somehow. Maybe a longer intro, a choir synth, or a string section on that end? I like to cheat with tempo changes when I want another 15 seconds out of a track. Ten seconds short of three minutes? Time to drop the BPM from 180 to 172 and fade out ;)

I definitely could have added some more elements into this piece that would have extended it, but I got a little too excited and just finished it (same old story ahaha). I'm glad you liked it Quarl! Good to hear from you :)

I really liked those natural sounds at the beginning. I literally despise harpsichord but you used it in a super pleasing way. This has a professional JRPG vibe. I could see myself playing harvest moon and meeting townsfolk or riding a horse through Hyrule. If I was in a bad mood before, I wouldn't be right now. That reprisal at the end was really sweet. I flipping love this <3

Hell yeah Fairsquare. Great folky tune. It's funny thinking about all the ways I'd have ripped this in highschool but I'm glad I can appreciate this kind of thing now. You did the original tune justice. I took off a half star for uploading a cover but I doubt you'll hold that against me. Think of the other stars as a thank you for sharing this with me and making my day a little better :)

FairSquare responds:

Thanks man! And about it being a cover.. i just don't have the time and also the skill to write an original song. I have done some attempts in the past, but whenever i write some lyrics and read them again after a couple of hours they go straight into the bin.
Maybe i'll write some songs when i'm older and actually have something worthwhile to say.

Thanks for the review, glad you enjoyed this piece :)

This really goes against formula. I'd expect to hear something like this on a Lifted podcast more than newgrounds. Refreshing drum and bass. Sexy string melodies, sexy drum rhythms. Just all around a great track. Tops Boomkitty <3

BoomKitty responds:

<3 Thanks dude! I've been putting a lot of effort into being more creative and making my music stand out.

This would make a really good DDR or ITG track. I didn't really feel the tempo change was too weird but I listen to some crazy ass shit so don't look at me. I'd tell you to make it even more pronounced, change the time signature a few times, and add a screaming goat sample.

It's a great little ditty, a good reminder that you're still alive. Be alive more often :)

Step responds:

Quarl! Been a while. Thanks for dropping by :).

Definitely getting the DDR vibes now that you mentioned it. I would've totally added that screaming goat time sig madness too if this wasn't for a university project!

Thanks again.

This is a really beautiful track. I got nothing to say about it but praise. Creative, original, full of good motifs and vibes. I was expecting a typical "trance" genre but this really stands out. The progression is smooth, the pads work well with the drum kit. You even avoided the four to the floor typical of "trance" which really threw me off a little. It's cool to have my expectations shattered. Great track candy :)

CANDYdisturber responds:

You have no idea how much this comment means to me; thank you very much!

Forking brutal. The mix is a little thin but I'd still give this a 10/10 if the maximum metric was 10 and not 5.

JDawg00100 responds:

Thanks for the review :D

That feely when you plug a synth that sounds so pure you've wished you could make an entire song out of it. You actually went ahead and did it :D

This is awesome mich.

Mich responds:

I'd hardly call it a song, but yeah, I keep being told to hit the record button when poking away with a patch I like; glad I did. :) And glad you like it!

So professional. Love the elements working in this. Vocals are sooooo gooood. Catchy <3 <3

Troisnyx responds:

Ee, glad you like it!

I'm not actually a person, I'm an AI. Roughly 500 other Newgrounds artists are also AI, I'm just the only dataset dumb enough to admit it. Please forgive my deception, beep-bop.
