roar!!

That was some really cool stuff. I loved the way the clicky rhythm panned from left to right. That tickeld my brain. The morphing melodies were a good touch. The bassier rhythm was really tight. Arrr! Really euphoric in a way. Ar! The attack near the end was really spot on. Sassy molassy. There's really nothing I feel I can tell you that might help. I think you made a really tight track. Good luck with the comp!

Hmmm.

Hmmm, I heard some string sounds towards the begining. Was that stuff digital, sampled, or original? Whatever it was, it sounded really cool. Though I'm not sure if that distorted drum set accented the guitar sounds very well. Actually, most of my gripes with this track just deal with the distortion. Whenever I leave a review for a track, I make sure to listen to it twice. Once with my head phones, and once with my lap top speakers. Just to make sure it all comes through all right, and this did come through, but regardless of what I used to listen to this track, the bass always ended up sounding choppy and muddy.

I was hoping you'd take your time with your comp song seeing as how you seem to pump out tracks really quick. Regardless, you usually seem to pump out really ace tracks. Though I really think you could have benefited by holding off and working on some stuff. Like some of it sounded a little too distorted. Again, I'll use the effected bass as an example. The subby bass was tight though.

I still like the track, it's just I think it could have used some fine tuning. Keep rocking and good luck with the comp. Oh, and when I submit my dnb track down the road, you can be a gritty as you want with the review...actually, I'm being really hopeful. You don't really even have to review it if you don't want :P

The fade out didn't come out right. If it was intentional, it was really weak, but I'm not going to take off any points for it, because it just sounded really accidental. Other than that there's absolutely nothing wrong with this track. It rocks in every other aspect. Really fucking ace man. No extended review from me today. That's all your gonna get. I'm going straight to work on a lullaby track for the DAC tonight. Rock on man!

RAWR!

It all sounded pretty cool, like something out of AOE. right off the bat though I could tell you that this submission's perussion could use some chrechendos. It's all at the same velocity or about the same range anyways. Any variences are too subtle to really notice. Try making the percussion more dynamic. The rhythms are cool though. Especialy the bongo/congas or whatever they might be.

The melodies in the back are sweet and cool. I love that instrument that sounds like it's sliding up and down. Sass taffy right there. The track loops perfectly. I didn't catch any clips or chops. Those keys near the end sounded beautiful, though they could have been equalized more up front so I could hear it better. It played a backseat where it could have commanded.

Overall this is a really good track. Really pretty sassy and subtly taffy. Keep jamming ;)

hey thanks man :D

as with all my tracks, i could use more dynamics(not hat I didnt use any tho, just too subtle like you said)...it just gets tedious ya know. and yes those are congas, timbales, and tablas used in the percusion here. glad you liked the melodies.

anyways, thanks a lot, I'll take your advice into consideration for the next track I make :)

Fancy track going. It has all the dnb elements but there's something really unique about this one. I don't think it's the bongos though they definatly help out. Bongos sound sick in dnb when done right. I love tuning into a sick track and getting a nice ear full of samba. rawr. The bass was pretty cool, the siren thing was ace and the track looped perfectly. AR!!! sassy taffy.

Yeeesssssss.

This was so damn cool man. Sounds coming in from every direction with some pretty scary clarity. The bass holding the rhythm was awesome, and the ambience of the sounds really created a dark and gritty atmosphere. Whatever melodies that were in there were really well disguised. Almost glitchy sounds. This track is really damn cool man. I have no negative feedback to throw at this. It's so cool. Keep rocking man.

You did a really good job here. Everything accented pretty well. The melodies were pretty sassy. The rhythm didn't really impress me but that's only because I'm a douche when it comes to rhythm. I've been drumming for a long time so I enjoy hearing drums that make me think. Though the hi-hat rhythms were all right, but overall the beat was pretty straight forward. Ar!

It's pretty late right now where I am, so I'm having trouble thinking up things to say. I want to hear this tomorrow when I'm not so tired. Till then, you get a 4 a download and a metaphorical high five.

SysRq00 responds:

Yeah, with the drums I figured I wanted to stay simple. My brother (also a drummer) thought it could have used some toms. I think I agree with him now that I've listened to it myself a few times. But thanks for reviewing/downloading/4ing/hi-fiving! XD

I don't really know what to think. You seem to be having some time sig problems which is strange considering how straight forward the rhythm is. The drums came in a little too soon right at the beginning. It really threw me off and made it hard to get into the track.

I can't bring myself to really judge this track because it sounds really unfinished and rough. It's not bad, but it deffinatly needs more work. Keep at it.

If I used samples more often I'd probably recognize the pendulum drums...though I think I can hear them there regardless. Pendulums drums are usualy pretty straight forward. I like that heavy bass going on and the melodies were quite so epic. There really isn't alot I can say that I didn't like...though to be perfectly honest there was something about the intro that didn't click. It wasn't bad, don't get me wrong. I just didn't get too into it. Sorry man. In anycase, I'm deffinatly downloading this and throwing it onto my radio show track list which allready hosts quite a few of your tracks ;) RAWR.

I deffinatly owe you for a review or two. You always leave really awesome ones. ARR!

AHEM! First let me say that I really liked the melodic rhythms you chose. It sounds like classeic electronica, which might not normaly equate a high five but that kind of thing impresses me seeing as how i'm a rocker drummer who thinks in straight 8/8 with the occasional six thrown into the mix. Rhyme-awesome!

The drums didn't impress me too much. They sound a little better than the ones on your last track but this time my gripe was at how simple the rhythm was. That's pure opinion though. I guess if you were going for a more generic drum rythm in compensation for the melody then you probably went in the right direction.

It sounds to me like your using presets. I use garage band, so I wouldn't know if you were using FL or what ever but it really sounds like presets. Even if they're not just the fact that they "sound" like presets should be a hint that maybe something should be done in due concept. Dunno if that makes any sense.

The last thing I wanted to touch on was how it didn't remind me of a really ambient piece. It might be because I think of the term "ambient" as less of a genre and more as a proper term. Example; if I were to take the term ambient and consider it literally, I would not assume that the form of ambient music would even contain rhythm. The straight 4/4 beat changes my conception of the term "ambient"and makes it seem a little more structured.

I hope my input helped , or more importantly I hope that you were able to cull anything from that. Overall I really liked the track. They melodic rhythms were really fun, and some of the ambient mellodies were sounding really hxc chill. WOAH paradox. One more thing to ad before I take off. I notice how long it's been since the last time I reviewed one of your tracks. Thing is, the last track I reviewed was your previous latest. WOAH oxymoron. I'm guessing you havn't been making as much music? Ummm....AR!

p.s. I'm not sure if you could notice but I got drunker as the review dragged on. ;D

I noticed there wasn't a field to list my sexuality so I listed it under occupation.
