I'm not actually a person, I'm an AI. Roughly 500 other popular Newgrounds artists are also AI, I'm just the only dataset dumb enough to admit it. Please forgive my deception, beep-bop.

Music people, post 2 tracks you're proud of :)

Posted by Quarl - April 5th, 2021

I've had the pleasure to communicate with many young and aspiring artists over the years. There are a lot of fun sounds and ideas that the newgrounds music people invent. I'm not as communal as I would like to be however and regret that there are artists here that I've been bumping shoulders with for decades that I know next to nothing about. Never talked to them or left reviews. Artists here develop small microcosms and cults. You can spend 20 years on the same website and never communicate, take notice, or give feedback. It's mildly depressing.

I've posted that the focus here is music but if you're an artist, animator, coder, or voice actor and have something that you're really proud of then go ahead and post it here. The newgrounds community is always exciting. Though I upload mostly musics, I have a fondness for all the arts and sciences. Really, would just like to know you all a little better. Even if you're one of my regulars that I talk to, share something. Post two things you made that you love :)

This isn't supposed to be an advert, but in case you don't know what I'm all about: here and this. Would love to keep the focus on you people though. Show me some work you're proud of and I'll get back to you shortly :)

https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/852690 i dont often make music but this track in particular I tried to get past my usual level of "simple melody and bass" and it worked to some degree. My only aspiration with music is merely functional level video game music.

Giving it a solid listen :]

Okay, I'll bite.

Made this outside of my comfort zone. Many time changes, and a little bit of rock thrown in. All three parts were challenging but this last one had me worrying about how it would turn out. I'm proud of this piece because it taught me new things and got me out of a rut.

I got you fam :D

Putting in the time, giving your tunes a go :D

This was one of the first melodies I made that was chiptune, and I was surprised to figure out it somehow was a favorite among a lot of people.

I gave it a listen, was fun to play with Beepbox. Thanks for exposing me.

I got stuck remixing one of your tracks and fell behind on the list of stuff to listen to. Got so much music to listen to now, thanks for sharing Vibrant :D

my last song I really am proud of it named
Memory of Dismantled Reality
https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/1018379
also that drum and bassy titled
digital dream

Loved it Kyutatsuki <3

My remix of for dog bus to make it sound like a quake song:

and for something more original, my beep box song called "Il telefono squilla":

I hope it's ok if post a link that isn't from newgrounds

Sneaking your bandcamp into my blog, you sneaky Redead you.

I like your stuff and this idea of yours! ^_^

Recently I've been focusing on orchestration, but I'm not yet happy with the results, so here are two of my older VGM/chiptunes pieces instead. Hope you like! :)

Love making this noisy distorted shit it's underrated, feels like ancient rave

It's funny that when I see your name I automatically assume I've been seeing it for the last 15 years when actually I've just been noticing you a lot more lately. I'm giving these tunes a go, thanks DaVaP :D

I'm most proud of these two songs

This is the theme song for an upcoming video game

https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/1005478
And this, I have yet to use in other projects.

Gave these some good listens :D

Done and listened, thank you for participating Kronosxl :D

@Quarl
Really i don't think my old songs from beepbox would rappresent my current music style.

Artists are allowed to evolve and grow. Time is the only limiting factor when making musics. Eventually our ears grow tired of providing symphonies and our bodies quit

I started making music for my games with Beepbox 2 years ago. Now I've moved on to midis w/ soundfonts & audio, and I think I made a big improvement.

Everyone has to start somewhere. If I've learned one thing today it's how prevalent this Beepbox app is with young game devs. I'm currently giving your second track a listen :)

This one is that really sounds like well.. music, i like it most

And then we have this which i was created when was experimenting with FL.

I finally got around to these, thank you BlueTuxedo. I will be seeing you around :D

I like this one because it took me out of my comfort zone and pushed me to compose better. I plan on using it in my visual novel(when I'll finish it).

woohoo!!

These 2 are my personal favorites
With the first being my attempt at writing lyrics and making a song about my favorite animatic,
I dont really know why i like the second one..i just love listening to it! :)

Really pretty musics! Wacky original styling and adventures. I have no idea where ideas like these come from. Be honest, do you have a magic dog that writes your music for you?

Hm *thinks* It's tough for me to choose... From last year alone I have a lot of tracks that I'm proud of. But I guess if I really had to pick *one* from last year, it would be this, as it is, musically, what I want to do a lot more and what I want to define myself by. Thumping drums and ethereal choral harmonies.

https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/990301

As for this year so far, the piece I'm proudest of is this. Of everything I've written today, while I can remember the melodies etc. for everything, some with a bit more prompting than others, this just feels like me at my most triumphant.

Glad to hear from you Troisnyx. I was loving yatse ya! I'll be totally honest though that I wasn't feeling Carol of the Drum as much as some of your other stuff but that's dangerous territory to tread because then I have to explain myself.

One of the tracks is https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/1012442 which is inspired on one of the main characters of my comic
And the other one is https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/1016611 which was heavily inspired on the music that appears in madness combat, as i was making a madness short with a friend

I love seeing how madness continues to influence newgrounds youths.

Naw, that's fair enough. ^_^ I was aware when I wrote it that it wasn't exactly for everyone, musically speaking. I'm grateful for your review on yatse ya -- I want my ideal style to have that sort of delivery and impact, and I think it's going to take me a while to get there.
