I got turned on fkj from that cercle episode. Actually cercle as a whole got me through the lockdown the last two years. Not being able to travel and do the lifestyle I put all my chips into was tough and that lil show got me through it. Also that episode in particular is tough because I’ve seen so little of Bolivia and I was borned there. It made my mad at myself!

Oh wow, perspective. Cultural draws are powerful, hope you get to Bolivia at some point. Bucket list, figure how much that trip would cost and aim yourself at it for five or ten years. I bet it would be amazing.

Also sorry to hear how COVID has affected your life. You went hard into all those Newgrounds meet-ups, I loved those. I miss being physically surrounded by all that creative energy. Stopped performing when COVID hit, beat boxing is a disease spreading hobby. Here's to hoping the next decade calms down a little :(

jealous of that Alesis kit. Puts my el cheapo beginner Ludwig set to shame. I’m not impressed by most of the e-drum series, but it sounds like the company has come a long way in getting a convincing performance out of samples.

I used to be very critical of e-drums. Was critical of everything in my youth, glad to have grown up. Honestly, I don't have a huge problem with the kit flaws, I'm having so much fun trouble shooting awkward trigger settings. Purposefully chose the Alesis for the graphic user interface, sample library, and user support. Still have to stop by their website and register the kit for free downloads. Roland had great draws too but I regret literally nothing about the Alesis. Spent a few days watching comparison videos between companies, demos, price point comparisons for every unit both companies offer down their lineups... decision was almost a coin flip. Was finally able to look at those red shells and say "I want red" and not feel like the decision was vapid. Every drum kit is special, and suits a need. Especially your Ludwig, tell your kit I said hi :D

I've met incredibly talented drummers that jammed on old 60s era hand me down three piece kits with rusty hi hat pedals, spray painted shells, and cymbals that sounded like garbage. It's more about the drummer than the kit honestly. People make amazing beats on the street with plastic 5 gallon buckets and a pair of sticks <3

I think you're awesome, strong, and overall just a great person. we need more role models like you :)

You should change your name to KindChamber <3

"Take a few risks but don't die" yes

I'm listening through No Boundries RN, I gotta say, house is not my cup of tea, and I had to look up wtf is IDM, but there's a couple of tracks I'm digging. I personally love some samples like the birdies thrown in there alongside the weird electronic music. I feel like I need to be in a very specific headspace to listen to this sort of music, the DnB drum type thing gets me very jumpy, lol. I've been getting a lot into chiptune, even messing around with lsdj, and I've listened to a few of your jamuary tracks, and I loved the pixelday one.

I lost a friend last year who was a big role model, suicide too, she was an artist who's always had a though life, no incentive, no money, no nothing to create but she had this whole monthly art gathering thing going that is amazing. Its nothing like losing close family, but I get the losing color thing, but just everyone I met through memorial stuff for her after she was gonna made me feel that community thing in a very good manner, like, we're just a speck of something big and, kinda doesnt matter, but even stuff that doesn't matter can be beautiful and while we're here (I dunno I went off a bit here but I hope it makes some sense lol)

I liked the GLBT section also, lol. I feel like everyone still needs more stories about queer people going out there and just fucking living, being happy, creative.

ended up writing up a bunch of stuff, wow. I just wanted to say you seem cool and I've been a big enjoyer of your Quarl self insert mascot thing images since that amazing panel at the summer fest

I love seeing people gush. Thank you for sharing, loss is hard. A lot of people die before they can find the happiness they need to continue living. I'm sorry.

I'm happy to hear you're playing with lsdj, music is a fun journey :D
