Warning to the viewers.

I like gross humor. Therefore this cartoon is for me. If you get easily offended by gross things, this cartoon is not for you. If your reading this review and your not the author, consider this a warning. Go away. Don't come back. Run.

I liked the art direction, I thought it was cute. I wasn't expecting the direction of the flash. I don't want to spoil anything for the people that might by chance stumble upon this review, but lets just say that it was an interesting twist. I was expecting it to be gross for some reason. I felt like this was echoing Marc M and I guess that's really why I assumed it was gonna head off the way it did.

Good job, made me laugh, that's all I really care about.

FUCK!

Awesome man! Simply fucking awesome! Your colors always rock, and the animation was solid. Fuck the people who give you a low score because they simply "don't get it." Who does that? really.

"Oh... well this is a really really good animation, but I have an indisputable opinion that makes me feel inclined to to give this a 4, despite all the nice things I have to say."

Fuck those people. Fuck them to hell.

Heheh. Thanks, mate.

hmmm

I'd consider myself an artist/animator so listen to what I have to say as it's all very much relvant.

-stick animations are simple, overdone and really unpopular. Not to say that there are some exceptions out there. Look up the castle series or xiao xiao. Good stick stuff.

-Animation is an art medium if pulled off correctly. So you can consider yourself an artist of animation if you get good enough at it.

-You're still young. Pursue animation. This might be your first, so it's not by any means good, but I can see alot of potential here. The question is, are you interested in continuing?

-Don't submit stuff like this unless you plan on deleting it later. Keep your early work to yourself. I worked in flash for about a year before I actualy made and submitted a cartoon to newgrounds.

-The animation world is a tough nut to crack, especialy at your age. Most kids your age have no patience to get better. They just produce crap, continuously. A good cartoon can take months of hard work. Or hours if you're expierienced, but the expierience i'm talking about takes about a year or two of dedication to what your doing.

-Things to think of for your next animation: Try using sound, incorperate a background and add some serious depth. Your next toon doesn't have to be long. Just make it good.

I gave you a two as a score for the review because this isn't a cartoon. It isn't art. It's just a test. It might get deleted, it might not, but at least take my words to heart. If you need anymore info/advice just send me a p.m.

...

Pure genius.

This wasn't that bad.

Hey mrkennedy2. You spelt retarded wrong. Before you insult someone elses work, think about what you are saying.

Ahem, this was a nice short. The animation was really smooth. It wasn't that interesting in terms of orignility or story or anything like that, but it was amusing enough. Alot of my animations on deviant art are shot out in two days, so I know the kind of work that goes into something like this. Really, don't pay any attention to the 14 year olds on this site. They don't know what a real cartoon is. They just think they do because they waste their free time watching tons of random animations that wander through the portal, leaving shit comments as they please.

Mepster responds:

hey thanks pretty great for 2 minutes of work

Hmmm...

With the job you did keeping the file size so small, you'd think you could have managed to get parts one, two and three into one toon. In anycase, the graphics and sound were decent. I was a bit dissapointed with the pacing though. The toon moved way too slow. There was no story really at all. Also, stick figures are really a cliche. This toon could have used some music...that might help a bit. I'd say keep up the good work, but at the same time, try harder.

Music?

You forgot to credit the music author! Go to your flash submissions page and change that. It's not fair for the music artist when you forget to credit them.

As for the cartoon, it wasn't that bad. The colors were fun. I liked them. You really need to learn how to animate fire though. It was really sloppy. The camera work was a nice. The story wasn't that bad. It was amusing. If you need any help with your cartoons, I can give you some pointers. Just send me a pm.

Hmm, too short, work more.

Good: Colors (grey, brown, sexy, always a good combination), lines (smooth), sound (for the most part, I didn't get to hear alot because the toon was too short), frame consistency (no over loads)...

Bad: Clouds (some go one way while the others go another I figured out that the cloud was supposed to be following the boy, but I think it would have looked better if you just left the boy without a cloud, also, clouds arn't solid. Him landing on a solid cloud is a little weird.) The text at the begining was too long (I was starting to get bored), the character running was not fluent enough, try removing some of the extra frames.

I just want to know, is there gonna be a finished version of this, or is this it? Because I'd love to see the rest of this down the road.

BritishMoose responds:

Great review. It's not a particularly realistic piece (i think it's quite experimental), so the cloud comment isn't at the top of my concern list. The comment on the animation and timing of the text though, that's really useful - I'll remember that.

I didn't intend to make this a longer project, but the lack of length seems to be a major issue, so i'm considering pulling it off Newgrounds (unless it does better than I'm expecting) and adding more substance to it.

Thanks again for the review, great to hear exactly what you think about my stuff :D

Like Taffy, but chewier...

That ending seemed vrey rushed. Other than the ending, good work. It sucks that I also decided to submit a cartoon today, because there's no way in hell I could even begin to compete with your fan base. Eh, one day, I'll be a better animator than you, mark my word Mr. Alejandro Córdova Olvera. Because your going down >: (

Eventually...

That was good.

This cartoon has add. Good job though. The animation was smooth, the colors were, and the art was pretty good.
