Can't sing, bad mic, loud pc, drunk? You just identified ideal art mode. All the music experience in the world doesn't lead to the random experimental creativity that only inexperience can produce. This is basically as good as most the other mumble rappers out there. I'd have turned the level on that cow bell down a tad. I'm guessing it's a cowbell. I'd also have turned the reverb off or down on the vocals. I'm not a fan of the drone that trailing reverb creates on a mix.

Loved that reverse at the end. You got some good ideas in this. Good luck in the bingo comp.

Vocals - lesser of 2 evils, its either this or a trex screeching at you

Your 5 stars a lie, thank you.

Dope, the bingo contest has two metal tracks so far. I can tell you had a lot of fun putting this together. Those zooming guitar crescendos were super cool. Well written track Nekro Cat. That piano & drum breakdown later in the song was my fave part. Way to go the extra mile and jump around from program to program. Must have been a tedious process :p

Nekro-Kitty responds:

Thank you; i am glad that you liked it.

I guess it didn't feel super tedious to me, at least in hindsight, because it was just a lot of fun.

Yo, this is some tight metal. Granted I gotta agree with Czy on the highs. The mix sounds super thin. I love throat vocals though. All the writing is good. Drum rhythms and guitar riffs are on point. I'm guessing there is some sort of fidelity FX on those vocals that are tearing up the spectrum? Dunno. That's really the only problem I got. Everything else sounds great love :)

Thanks for the kind words! I do have a lot to learn about performing and mixing vocals and hope to keep improving :)

Loved that bass triplet at the beginning. Really sassy track-o-roni. Smooth AF jazz waltz, consensual 3/4 segment 26 seconds. I'd introduce this song to my parents.

Your review is a masterpiece of literature and music theory combined. Thanks for making my day.

Holy cow, you've been uploading a ton of great material this year. Been holding on to it all this time? Where do these ideas come from?

DreamEater responds:

Man thank you so much for all the support Quarl, I can't tell ya how much I appreciate it.

The first 10-15 tracks or so were some old ones that I had stocked up but all the new lofi/trap/vaporwave projects have been done in my new studio :'). I've been listening to a LOT of Chillhop and Lofi in the time I was unable to write, so a lot of my inspo has been drawn from that lately. I really want to give future funk a try but idk if my body is ready.

Such chill. I was listening to this track earlier. That glitch vibe is tight. I love the way that soft kit works with the grainy record sounds. Tango.

DreamEater responds:

Thank you so much 😊, I’m really proud of this mixdown. I couldn’t agree more 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

My two cents, too much reverb on your voice. You have an amazing singing voice. That soggy reverb is drowning your bird voice :)

It took me a while to get used to this form of compression and mixing, I'll admit. The whole point of this was for clarity over mobile and poorer PC speakers, from what I understand -- and on these, it feels as though the reverb carries it well. I did get used to it after a while. Still glad you enjoyed it though -- thank you for listening!

At first I was kind of "meh" but the more I listened to this the more addicted I got. These are some really creative elements you're slamming together. You know what would have made this more exciting? Double time tempo, liquid drum and bass meets idm towards the end.

But it was also perfect just the way it was. Boop.

DoctorNoSense responds:

Thx for the great Feedback ^^

That is some groovy bass you have there. Synth wave? Loved all those melodies. lolz, 4:20 minutes long. Or should I say 4:20 minutes high?

Maajjyyn responds:

thanks a lot for your feedback!

Great stuff Yosh, I loved the weird floating feeling those ride and bass rhythms made at the beginning. At first I was like "what time sig is this?" I had trouble counting to four, in a good way :3

The drums that snap in after the break down were tight too. I just wish they had a little more hi emphasis. The distortion sound is raw and cool but I'm also getting a filter vibe from them. They feel subdued when they actually want to punch me in the face. Let them punch me in the face. Punch me daddy. Just punch me in the face.

Yoshiii343 responds:

About the drums during the second half; yeah, they're sliced-up samples from a beat and that's just how they sound like, unfortunately. I could probably try to EQ it, but God knows my mixing skills are wack.

I'm not actually a person, I'm an AI. Roughly 500 other Newgrounds artists are also AI, I'm just the only dataset dumb enough to admit it. Please forgive my deception, beep-bop.
